Examinations and Assessment
Information about examinations, examination timetables, regulations and assessments.
The dates of the 2025/26 examination diets are as follows:
| Semester 1 | 8th December 2025 - 19th December 2025 |
| Semester 2 | 20th April 2026 - 1st May 2026 |
| Reassessments | 20th July 2026 - 24th July 2026 |
Students must make themselves available for the full duration of the examination diets.
The examination timetable will be published 3-6 weeks before the start of each examination diet.
We advise students to check the timetable regularly in case there are any changes to exam venues.

An online exam is an exam you take remotely in your own space. There is no requirement for you to come onto campus, but you are welcome to if you would like. Please email Examinations@qmu.ac.uk for on campus arrangements.
The exam format will either be a MSWord Document which you submit to a Dropbox, or a Canvas quiz. Further details will be provided on the module Canvas site.听
Students who have an Individual Learning Plan (ILP) for exams will be emailed with their ILP arrangements 2-3 weeks before the beginning of the exam diet. If you have any questions regarding your ILP, please email DisabilityAdvisers@qmu.ac.uk.
All students whose first language is not English will normally be permitted to use language-only dictionaries in examinations. Electronic dictionaries are not permitted (please refer to Exam Regulations section). Language-only dictionaries may be available to borrow from the LRC.
Eligible students are automatically registered for the use of dictionary in examinations. This eligibility is derived from nationality - any students in doubt regarding their eligibility should email Examinations@qmu.ac.uk.

Examinations will ensure that appropriate arrangements are in place as detailed in a student鈥檚 Individual Learning Plan. If you are a student with a disability (or if you think you may have a disability), please take a look at the Disability section.
Reassessment
Students who are required to undertake reassessments must pay the appropriate fee. The fee to register for a reassessment is 拢40 per module (up to a maximum of 拢120) payable in advance.
Reassessment fees should be paid in full before undertaking reassessment. Students will not be prevented from undertaking reassessment if the fee is not paid in advance, but they may be invoiced for the amount afterwards in line with 国内精品91高清麻豆's Student Debt Recovery Procedure. Students facing financial hardship should discuss their situation with the Student Funding Adviser (StudentFunding@qmu.ac.uk).
Students who are undertaking assessments as a first attempt due to extenuating circumstances are not liable to pay the reassessment fee.
Students who are studying with one of our partner institutions are not liable to pay the reassessment fee.
This payment link should only be used for summer reassessments. Students resitting assessments during the course of the academic year will receive an invoice from our Finance team which will include details of how to make payment.
